If like me, you suffer from dry, cracked lips in the winter, make this easy four ingredient lip scrub. Just using a small amount on your lips leaves them smooth and to top it off apply a little lip balm afterwards.

What you’ll need:

  • Small pot
  • Olive oil
  • Honey
  • Granulated sugar
  • Vaseline
  • Coloured lipstick (optional)
  • Small bowl

So let’s start with the wet ingredients. I’ve used small ramakins just to show you the different ingredients. Mix together Β½ teaspoon of olive oil, Β½ teaspoon of honey and roughly a pea sized amount of vaseline in your small bowl. If you want to keep the recipe all natural, coconut oil would be a great choice!

Now we just need to add in the sugar! I have used 3 heaped teaspoons of white granulated sugar. Add that in and give it a good stir and it should start to come together.

An additional step is to give the lip scrub a bit of colour. You can do this by adding in a small dap of lipstick or a tinted lip balm. I have added in about a pea sized amount of pink vaseline. Once you have stirred the colour in you’re done!

Just spoon the mixture into your small pot and voila! As the ingredients are sweet the scrub should last a couple of weeks or longer. Just make sure the lid is firmly on after every use. To use the lip scrub just put a small amount on your finger and rub gently against your lips in circular motions.
